4 SIGNS YOUR CV IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH

man ready for an interview

There are lots of reasons why a person’s CV may be considered inadequate by recruiters. Sometimes, you send your CV out, and stay months without getting a single call from a prospective employer. If you’re in this category, then, you need to take a look at the following possible causes, so you can know how to fix that problem.

 1. RECRUITERS DO NOT CONTACT YOU FOR THE REASONS YOU EXPECT THEM TO

So you sent out your CV to different companies, and you’ve still not gotten an invite to an interview? This could be because your CV is not good enough. A good enough CV would always attract the interest of recruiters, and they’d definitely contact you the moment they see it. If this isn’t your story, you definitely need to get help for your CV ASAP.

2. WHEN RECRUITERS CALL YOU, IT’S ONLY TO GET CLARIFICATION ON PARTS OF YOUR CV

Like I said earlier, a good enough CV would get a potential employer to call you in a heartbeat, but then, it doesn’t have to end there. If recruiters only call you to make enquiries on your salary demands or previous work experience, and then, never call again, there may yet be something wrong with your CV as well. A good CV will not only get a recruiter to call you, it should also land you an interview spot.

3. RECRUITERS CAN’T FIND RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU ON THE INTERNET

When you submit your CV to an employer, they usually go the extra length of searching the net to find as much more information about you as they can. If  they don’t get anything good enough, then you may just be limiting your chances of being hired. It’s not enough to just join a social media platform; you should endeavor to add any relevant information, so recruiters see them when they look you up.

4. IT’S NOT BEEN SUBJECTED TO EXPERT OPINION

You cannot know everything about anything, no matter how much you think you know, there’s always someone who has more or better information. This is why it’s not enough to just put together a CV and send out to employers; you should get them to people who are good at putting CVs together, in order to improve on it if need be.

Good luck!
