It’s not an uncommon event to see a guy or lady envy a seemingly sweet relationship that a friend has. When you see someone with an awesome relationship and you feel like yours isn’t half as good as theirs, it’s normal to be jealous and feel like you ought to have that kind of relationship; but it really shouldn’t be so, you never know how a shoe feels till you wear it.
There are many reasons you shouldn’t really envy a friend’s relationship, and I’d share.
1. FAILED RELATIONSHIPS
First, your friend’s relationship might be awesome, but you never can tell how many failed relationships that person might have passed through to finally get that relationship that feels like home. In other words, they might have passed through even worse things than you relationship-wise and finally found a home in their relationship. So all you need do is hope for or find someone who’s better suited to you.
2. THE WORK THEY PUT IN
Sometimes people have great relationship partners but don’t really appreciate their partner or put in more effort for the success of their relationship. Every successful relationship has a tale of dedication, commitment and compromise. If you don’t add such values to your relationship, you shouldn’t expect any better – the dedication and commitment they put in their relationship could be the secret of the relationship’s success; rather than envy, put in such level of commitment too.
