3 WAYS TO STOP FEELING LIKE A FAILURE AND START ACTING LIKE A SUCCESS

Failure and success first starts in the mind; a person who fails starts the process in the mind and a successful person starts the foundation in the mind as well.

How can one stop acting like a failure and start acting towards success?

1. ACCEPT WHERE YOU ARE FAILING AT

The major problem with people who are failing at certain things is that they fail to acknowledge that they are threading the wrong path. Find out the areas where you are failing at, own it and ask yourself sincere questions on why you are failing in those areas. If you can be sincere enough to yourself, the answers will come up and that’s a key step to changing your mentality from failure to success.

2. LEARN FROM IT

The best thing you can do with failure is to learn from it. Malcom Forbes said: “Failure is success if we learn from it.”. Another quote by Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”

Learning from failure takes you closer to success. But when you choose to shy away from your failure or feel overwhelmed by it, you’re thinking like a failure.

Chris Hardwick acknowledged: “No human ever became interesting by not failing. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person.”

3. REDIRECT THE PASSION

There’s usually a shame, anger, zeal, fire and passion that comes with failure. The difference between a failure and a successful person is that a failure tries to shy away from those emotions, while a successful person brings it out and redirects it into action until it becomes success.

I’d conclude with a quote by J.K Rowling: “Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I’ve met people who don’t want to try for fear of failing.”
