10 WAYS TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL ABOUT YOURSELF

There are some days when you feel terrible about yourself and wish you were someone else. There are those who don’t even feel content with themselves; they don’t feel beautiful about their lives, and there’s no desire to love themselves. But should this really be so?

Feeling beautiful has little to do with your appearance; it’s more about the way you feel within you, about yourself, the love you have for yourself and just being confident and appreciating the values you have.

How can one feel beautiful about themselves?

1. EMBRACE YOUR INNER BEAUTY

Do you know that it’s the non-visible things that make you who you are? Your character, your personality, your mode of thinking, your attitude, your emotions — these are the things that make you, and when you learn to embrace your inner beauty, there would be a reflection on your outer self.

2. EMBRACE YOUR FLAWS

Bodily flaws, character flaws — embrace them. Until you learn to embrace your flaws and realise that you aren’t perfect, then you can hardly feel beautiful. So what you made a mistake? So what you suck at something?

It doesn’t take anything away from you, unless you let it. Acknowledging that you have flaws and that you make mistakes show strength of character; not everyone can own up to their mistakes, and not everyone can accept their flaws.

3. BE AT PEACE WITH YOURSELF

Find peace within you; don’t give negativity a chance in your life. Kick out the negative thoughts, kick out the negative habits and everything that brings negative energy to your mind.

4. SMILE MORE

Smiling means happiness, content, satisfaction, joy and so many positives. Smiling doesn’t only make you look beautiful, it also makes you feel beautiful.

5. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Take proper care of yourself to the best of your ability; eat well, exercise, practice good hygiene, and dress well too.

You only have one body; take care of it and feel confident in it.

6. FIND SOMETHING YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF

Look for something in you to appreciate; something you love about yourself, something that makes you feel better. It could be a skill, it could be a talent, it could be something you taught yourself, it could be a part of you — it could be anything. It could be your kindness and your emotions, your ability to treat people right, your ability to love; find something to love about yourself and you will feel beautiful.

7. REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU’RE AWESOME

There are gifted people who don’t even realise how gifted they are. This isn’t about your looks; it has nothing to do with it. It’s about who you are as a person — your awesomeness as a person. You need to wake up every morning and appreciate who you are. Stand in front of your mirror every morning and tell yourself that you are awesome — and say it like you mean it.

8. GIVE YOURSELF TREATS

Pamper yourself, give yourself treats, spoil yourself a little — you deserve it. Stop waiting for someone to do it for you.

9. DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH ANYONE

Every other thing written in this article would be a waste if you compare yourself to someone else. Comparison is a waste of who you are; you can never feel beautiful when you do this.

10. KICK AWAY BAD HABITS

Kick away bad habits that can ruin your peace; being unforgiving, holding grudges, being jealous, being greedy — all these negative attributes shouldn’t be a part of you. You will never feel beautiful when you let them into your life.

 

Feeling beautiful starts on the inside. There are so many people who aren’t really blessed with good looks, but they look amazing on the outside. It isn’t because they are really beautiful; it’s because they feel beautiful.
