The more exercise we do, the lesser the risk of us dying from heart disease but that is true to a certain point. Remember that saying that too much of everything is bad? It also applies to exercise too.<\/p>\n

According to researchers that examined how much exercise is too much, running more than six kilometres a day could be dangerous to your health.<\/p>\n

Among walkers, the turning point, when benefits were lost, was seen in those who did more than 74 kilometres per week, or 10 kilometres per day.<\/p>\n

The study was led by Paul Williams of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Paul Thompson of the Department of Cardiology at Hartford Hospital.<\/p>\n

Experts generally recommend two and a half hours of moderate exercise each week, or 75 minutes weekly of vigorous exercise for a healthy heart and body.<\/p>\n
