Having a connection with your partner shows certain qualities that make a relationship happy; such as understanding, togetherness and friendship. A relationship is more enjoyable when there is a connection between both partners, and most times, once that connection is lost, the relationship falters.

There are little things that clearly show there is a connection between you and your partner.

1. YOU LISTEN TO EACH OTHER

Understanding is at its peak in relationships where partners listen to each other. In relationships with minimal connection, partners talk without listening; however, in relationships where there is a connection, both partners listen to each other — and that’s a huge difference.

2. CREATE TIME FOR EACH OTHER

You know there is connection between you and your partner when you both try to create time for each other, regardless of other factors that might be a hindrance. When couples give each other attention then that’s a huge sign of a strong connection in that relationship.

3. YOU GO ON DATES

Basically, when couples don’t have a good connection, they wouldn’t really see the need for date nights and being out with each other. But couples with strong connection can’t wait to be out with each other. Minus date nights, having a fun night out regularly shows that you both have a strong desire to be with each other. When couples do this, a mood-boosting chemical, dopamine is released in the brain.

4. CHECK ON EACH OTHER

Couples with a connection check on each other even in little ways that they can. Simply asking your partner how his or her day went is a good example of how to check on your partner. According to Angela Hicks, a psychologist from Westminster University, couples who discussed recent positive events with each other feel happier the next day, with increased feeling of intimacy and connection to their partner.

5. YOU DON’T LET A FIGHT RUIN THEIR RELATIONSHIP

Quarrels and misunderstanding are bound to happen in a relationship, regardless of the level of connection. However, couples with strong connection come out stronger after a fight — they don’t let a fight ruin their relationship.

6. TOGETHERNESS

Couples who do things together obviously have a strong connection. Couples without a connection rarely do things together, and when they do, it rarely happens without a fight.

7. CELEBRATE EACH OTHER’S SUCCESS

Couples with a strong connection push each other to succeed and when one partner succeeds, it’s like a victory to both partners. Couples with a strong connection celebrate each other’s success.

8. YOUR ROMANCE LIFE ISN’T DEAD

Physical attraction is still a huge sign of connection. Couples who remain physically attracted to each other and have their romance life intact are couples with a strong connection. Once that physical attraction begins to fade, the relationship tends to suffer.

9. YOU ARE A PART OF EACH OTHER’S LIVES

Couples with a strong connection are a huge part of each other’s lives; they have and show a strong connection to be a part of each other’s lives and participate in any little way they can.
