It isn’t an uncommon practice when men try to do things to make their lady jealous in a relationship. Definitely, not all men are involved in this act, but a lot of men have done a couple of things sometimes just so as to make the women in their lives jealous.<\/p>\n

Whether that’s the right thing to do is a question for another day, but men try to make women jealous, and they have their reasons.<\/p>\n

1. POWER TUSSLE <\/b><\/p>\n

It could be said that men are naturally dominant and they even try to bring that in their relationships. But not all women can be cajoled into being totally submissive to their man, so some underhand tactics are sometimes used by men to try to reclaim ‘power’, and jealousy is one of those tactics. There is almost always a behind-the-scene power tussle in relationships; people love control (not only men), and making the other partner jealous is a trick to getting that.<\/p>\n

2. RETALIATION <\/b><\/p>\n

Retaliation is also another reason why some men try to make their women jealous. It could be that he’s aggrieved over some wrong done by the woman and probably needs an apology or needs to also make his own action felt; jealousy is also used by men as a means of retaliation.<\/p>\n

3. INSECURITY <\/b><\/p>\n

Men also feel insecure, men also feel jittery, men are also scared, men also feel out-of-place, and in that desperation to be secure in that relationship they try to make their lady jealous. Insecurity is a huge reason why men try to make their lady jealous.<\/p>\n

4. TO BE VALUED <\/b><\/p>\n

This is quite followed by the previous reason of insecurity. Men try to make their woman jealous just so as to create more value, to feel more valued or pass a message to that woman that they need to be valued. When a man feels he isn’t valued enough, he tries to get his lady into valuing him by making her jealous.<\/p>\n

5. TO SHOWCASE THEIR EGO <\/b><\/p>\n

Sometimes it’s also a thing of ego and pride \u2014 to pass a message of not being vulnerable. In simpler terms, some men make their ladies jealous just to pass a message that they can do without them. When a man does this, that’s his ego at work.<\/p>\n

But is it really necessary to make her jealous? Is it healthy for the relationship? Is it mature? I doubt it.<\/p>\n
