After I saw this (picture below) which was published in a Ghanaian newspaper, it felt like a joke, but then it dawned on me that really some men don’t know when a lady is taking them for granted.<\/p>\n

It’s highly possible to be in a relationship and be taken for granted. However, this piece is specifically aimed at pointing out when a man is being taken for granted by his lady.<\/p>\n

1. WHEN YOU ARE JUST AN OPTION IN HER LIFE <\/b><\/p>\n

When you are not her priority and you have little importance in her life, then it’s quite clear that she’s taking you for granted. When in a relationship with a lady that truly cares about you, she makes it obvious with words and actions. You can’t be in a relationship with someone who truly cares and be just an option in their life.<\/p>\n

2. DOESN’T CARE ABOUT YOUR OPINION <\/b><\/p>\n

This is also another sign that you don’t have much value in her life. If she values you then she would listen to you, and probably let your opinion count, but most times, when a lady takes her man for granted, his opinion is also taken for granted.<\/p>\n

3. DOESN’T SHOW MUCH APPRECIATION FOR THE POSITIVES YOU DO <\/b><\/p>\n

No matter how good you are to her, if she’s taking you for granted then she wouldn’t value you no matter what you do. She might love the things you do for her, but that isn’t enough, she has to appreciate them, and if she doesn’t appreciate them, then it could be said that she’s just taking you for granted and is only in for the things she can get from you.<\/p>\n

4. BECOMES ROMANTIC ONLY WHEN SHE WANTS SOMETHING <\/b><\/p>\n

This is also another thing that comes natural when a lady doesn’t value her man. She’s hardly ever romantic towards him, but when she suddenly becomes romantic towards him, it’s because she wants something…that’s a sign that you just being played a fool and being taken for granted.<\/p>\n

5. FLIRTS WITH OTHER GUYS IN YOUR PRESENCE\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

This is condescending, this is demeaning… but this also happens a lot. A lady that totally loves and respects her man would dare not flirt with another man in his presence. But when the man is being taken for granted, she wouldn’t mind to flirt with other men, not minding whether her man is watching or not.<\/p>\n

6. DOESN’T TREAT YOUR CALL WITH RELEVANCE <\/b><\/p>\n

There is a huge difference between the way a lady treats the phone call of a man she admires and respects and a man she takes for granted. If she takes you for granted; she could see your missed call and never call back, or worse still, she could ignore your call for a long duration. Her approach on the phone also sends a message on the relevance she places on the caller.<\/p>\n

7. YOUR GOOD NATURE IS BEING ABUSED <\/b><\/p>\n

A lady that has a good man and doesn’t appreciate him simply means she’s taking him for granted. Even a pet that’s valued is treated with care, talk more of a relationship partner. When a man treats his lady right in every possible way and she doesn’t care to reciprocate, or worse still, she even abuses the good nature of the man then it’s crystal clear that he’s being taken for granted by the woman he cares about.<\/p>\n

8. SHE DOESN’T BRING ANYTHING TO THE TABLE <\/b><\/p>\n

A relationship is a two-way thing; both partners have a role to play to make it work. However, sometimes we see situations where one partner bears the weight of the relationship with the other partner doing little or nothing. This shows nonchalance and lack of value; when a lady isn’t ready to put enough in that relationship to make it work then it’s absolutely clear she’s taking her man for granted.<\/p>\n

This isn’t a mere tale; women take their men for granted, and it happens in so many situations… like when the man absolutely loves the lady, but she feels little or nothing for him; or when she just feels he’s ignorant. This also happens when the lady exercises total control in the relationship or when she feels she’s irreplaceable.<\/p>\n
