"angry

Some time ago, I brought you something similar in JUST FOR LAUGHS: 7 things men do that upset women, and you liked it – so here’s another, just to put you in a great mood.

Some of us, men can say just about anything to impress a woman, but sometimes, the things we say can do more damage than good, especially if they come across to women as either arrogant or insensitive. You know women are very sensitive people, so even the most trivial of things may be taken very seriously once perceived to be offensive (no offence my ladies). That is why men must be very careful and guided in the things they say around women. So what are these things women don’t want to hear men talk about?

1. NEVER TALK ABOUT SPORTS

Women do not like sports; not volleyball, not football, not indoor golf – so they don’t want to hear you mention it around them. I don’t know why some guys make the mistake of raising the subject around women in the first place. It’s hard enough that she has to compete for your attention with a sport, why make her life any harder? It’s like talking to her about your side chick and expecting her to be happy about it. Love your sports alone, and keep the details for when you’re with your buddies. Stop boring her with it! Except she’s a sports fan.

2. NEVER TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU HAVE OR MAKE

So you make 6 figures a year? Maybe a month? She doesn’t want to hear you talk about it. If you do, it’ll only make you seem arrogant and proud. Women would rather hear you talk about how much you love and care about them, not how fat your pay check is – unless of course, you’re dealing with a prostitute or a lady who’s just there for the money.

3. NEVER TALK ABOUT YOUR BEDROOM SKILLS

They say empty vessels make the loudest noise. Guys who have nothing to offer in the bedroom are fond of boasting of ‘skills’ they do not have, in an attempt to impress women. If you’re good in bed, she’ll find out eventually. You don’t have to brag or make noise about it. It’ll only irritate and make you unattractive to her.

4. NEVER TALK ABOUT YOUR PAST ‘SEXCAPADES’

Most guys think it’s ‘boss’ and image-boosting to discuss their past sexual escapades with the women in their lives, not knowing that it only projects them in bad light. No responsible woman will be pleased to hear that her man used to be a ‘playa’ in the past or that he has been with countless women. Women are naturally jealous; such stories will only make them uncomfortable and sad. Keep your past sex life where it belongs – in the past.

5. NEVER TALK ABOUT YOUR FATHER’S WEALTH

This is for those men who like riding their parents’ fame and wealth – your father can be Bill Gates for all she cares —just don’t go bragging about how rich he is and all. It would only make you seem like a lazy kid who’s completely dependent on his father. Women want a man who can stand for himself without having to ride on his father’s wealth. She would even be more impressed with you if she started off not knowing you’re Bill Gate’s son, but finds out along the line. So always keep the conversation around you and her. It’s you she’s interested in, not your father.

NB: this piece is not intended to ridicule or disrespect any gender, rather it is meant to inform and correct our mind sets. I do hope you learned something. Thank you for your time.
