People say trust is overrated, but I don’t believe a word of that, trust is important for the success of every relationship. Compare a relationship where trust exists to one that it doesn’t and the difference would amaze you.<\/p>\n

Trust isn’t given easily, it is earned; so if your partner doesn’t trust you, it’s because you haven’t earned it.<\/p>\n

There are various reasons why you need to earn your partner’s trust<\/p>\n

1. SOLVES THE PROBLEM OF NAGGING <\/b><\/p>\n

Sometimes nagging and complains exist because there is a lack of trust in the relationship. When trust doesn’t exist, it creates room for all manner of negativity, and complaining is just one of them. But when there is trust, there is a certain calmness that exists in a \u00a0relationship.<\/p>\n

2. CHASES THE FEAR THAT COMES WITH UNCERTAINTY <\/b><\/p>\n

A lack of trust brings a certain feeling of uncertainty in a relationship. When your partner doesn’t trust you, he\/she won’t even be sure of your feelings and they won’t be sure where they stand with you \u2014 there is a certain uncertainty that seems to get the better of your partner’s feelings and emotions. But when your partner trusts you, the issue of uncertainty is forgone.<\/p>\n

3. UNNECESSARY SUSPICIONS <\/b><\/p>\n

When trust doesn’t exist in a relationship, there would be unnecessary suspicions about almost everything. If your partner doesn’t trust you, everything you say or do would raise suspicions, even when you are saying the truth. But if your partner trusts you, there would hardly be any reason for that person to be suspicious of your activities \u2014 even if you work late nights.<\/p>\n

4. CREATES A BOND <\/b><\/p>\n

Trust comes with a bond of its own, it comes with love and affection, care and understanding, it makes the relationship unique, it breathes sincerity, and all these add up together to create a certain bond in that relationship.<\/p>\n

5. JEALOUSY AND RIVALRY <\/b><\/p>\n

Jealousy exists where trust doesn’t. Jealousy and rivalry brings hate and discontent, and it’s a sign that trust doesn’t exist in that relationship. When trust exists, there is hardly any reason for your partner to be jealous of another person or create a rivalry with another person. Trust brings assurance.<\/p>\n

6. IT’S A FOUNDATION FOR LOVE TO BE BUILT ON <\/b><\/p>\n

When trust exits, love can grow; when trust exists, understanding can grow; when trust exists, so many positives can grow alongside it. The relationship can only grow from strength to strength only when trust exists.<\/p>\n

You need to by all means earn the trust of your partner, in words and especially in action. If you don’t earn that trust then your relationship or marriage would suffer from it.<\/p>\n
