A research has found that women who are initially sexually attracted to men start to lose interest when they find out they are cheats or liars.
According to the study published in the International Journal of Psychology, women prefer kind, considerate and charitable men over rivals who may be better looking but have lower moral standards.
The researchers also discovered that unlike women, men who fancied beautiful women showed no signs of going off them, even when they discovered they were of dubious character.
The researchers claim women have evolved to invest in long-term relationships that they think would allow their offspring flourish and survive.
Men on the other hand are still programmed to reproduce as much as possible, so the quality of their sexual partner is less important.
The research team made of psychologists from the University of James 1 in Castellon, Spain quizzed 214 young heterosexual men and women.
The results of the study show that women are less attracted to bad boys no matter how good-looking they are.
But men would still be drawn to women considered sexy even if she is a terrible person.
