WHY YOU SHOULDN’T GIVE NONCHALANCE A MINUTE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

unhappy couple

Nonchalance is being casual, careless, unconcerned, indifferent, unserious and complacent. This is a deadly trait that can ruin a relationship or marriage, no matter how great it is; still, people let it into their relationships, their homes, their marriage and their love life.

When you feel you have a woman/man who loves you greatly and you become a bit complacent in showing that person how much you also care — that’s nonchalance.

When you take your partner for granted — that’s nonchalance.

When you do something wrong and refuse to apologise because you are sure your partner values you — that’s nonchalance.

When you expect the world from your partner and you give nothing in return, you are a nonchalant partner.

When you refuse or forget to say “thank you” to your partner — that’s nonchalance.

Nonchalance would make you take your partner’s feelings for granted, it would make you act like you don’t really love your partner, even when you do; it’s a tiny seed that grows gradually — little by little, and you wouldn’t even know until it has ruined your relationship. Many great marriages have turned sour because of nonchalance.

Nonchalance could make you forget to play your role in that relationship, nonchalance could make you forget how that relationship even started and the efforts that were put to take it so far. Nonchalance could make you turn a blind eye when your partner needs you, nonchalance could make you listen to your partner less and communicate less with that man/woman.

Nonchalance could make you feel that you’re irreplaceable, and nonchalance could make you forget how much you really love someone. It’s nonchalance that makes couples keep malice for a long time, it’s nonchalance that makes couples keep grudges with one another.

With nonchalance, other deadly traits would begin to surface — ignorance, pride, being unforgivable, being unloving, and so many other things that could ruin your relationship.

The best advice you should give yourself in your relationship is to never be nonchalant, especially when you have a partner you love and who loves you in return.
