Ladies always wonder why men have to wait till they are way older before they even start thinking that it’s time to settle down. Ladies love to marry very early but men are the direct opposite. You can easily see a lady getting married as early as 20 but for a guy, it’s a rarity.
People think that men get married late because they need to make money to take care of their family and all that. But I don’t think so; it’s not just about the money. I’m sure we have seen so many guys that are rich and even super rich but still pause on the marriage thing. To guys it goes beyond just acquiring wealth even though the only excuse we give is that we want to make money before getting married. That’s just a cheap shot for an excuse against getting married on time.
The contrasting and yet funny part of it all is that most ladies want to get married by at most 28 and that age seem early for guys. So what is really with guys and marriage? What are they running from; why are they reluctant?
1. THEY SOMETIMES GET SCARED OF THE WHOLE COMMITMENT THING
Marriage is a very huge commitment and it’s one that keeps guys scared even to the day of their wedding. It’s very easy for a lady to want to make that commitment but not for a man. That’s why women always pester for that engagement and marriage while men just try to keep it safe.
2. THEY ARE NOT IN A HURRY TO LEAVE BACHELORHOOD
No much responsibility, you are a free man and loads of fun are some things that excite guys about being single and staying so. Guys know that once they get married, it changes a whole lot of things and they are scared to leave that in a hurry. Bachelorhood can be fun and leaving it is not always appealing.
3. SCARED OF MAKING THE WRONG DECISION
Marriage is scary to guys and one of the scariest things about it is choosing the wrong partner. Even when he is sure that the lady he is getting married to is the right partner for him, he still have doubts about her; not because he wants to but he just doesn’t want to make a mistake.
4. MAKING MONEY IS A PRIORITY
This is the most common excuse guys give so as not to marry early. They want to be comfortable; some even want to be very comfortable before they make that decision. Money, a car and a house are basic priorities guys want to have before they decide it’s time to march to the altar. Really you wouldn’t blame them when they give this reason but the next reason makes me doubt this reason.
5. AFTER MAKING MONEY, THEY DON’T KNOW WHO TO TRUST
Now this is the funny part; guys claim that they need to make money but after making the hard-earned money, they lack trust in the ladies. They don’t really know who then to trust. They suspect that every lady is after them just because they have money. For that reason, they draw into their shells, wait a little more before they deem it’s time to get married and by then you know that they are well into their thirties.
6. MEN ARE NATURALLY POLYGAMOUS
Men naturally love women and sticking with just one the rest of their lives is not a decision they would hurriedly want to take. They wouldn’t want to cheat on their wife even though they eventually end up cheating. They just want to have that much s*x with loads of women until it dawns on them that it’s time to be a man and take that woman they care about to the altar; and lord knows how late that can be.
7. THEIR FRIENDS AREN’T IN A HURRY TOO
The saying ”show me your friend and I’d tell you who you are” can be brought to play here. Let me explain. Ladies marry early; their friends are also in a hurry to get married, so they follow the trend, they don’t want to be left out; by the time they have attended enough weddings of their friends and they haven’t gotten married, they panic but not guys. Guys and their friends all marry late; at 26 they are not even thinking of marriage; maybe money is the only thing in their mind and having fun too. So when everyone in the group is thinking alike what would bring talks of marriage? Definitely nothing; marriage is usually a thing of the future to them.
You have read it all. One thing you should know is that women think with their hearts but men think with their brain. They try to weigh a lot of things before they get married; even when they are in love, they still try to keep it calm.
