There’s widespread belief that women are the only ones who run after relationships for the purpose of making a lot of cash and surviving, but that’s so untrue. Women do it, and so do men. The difference is perhaps guys are very good at concealing. Anyway, we hope no one falls a victim to this kind of people, but how could you tell the real from the fake?
HE’S ‘BROKE’ OFTEN
Everyone goes broke eventually, but there’s a difference between the average man, and these kinds. The average man is usually too ashamed to share his money problems for fear of being labelled ‘fake’ and ‘broke’, but the one who is interested in making money off you isn’t. Instead, he’ll even give you reasons why he needs it, and it’s usually with promise to pay back ‘with interest’ and he never does.
HE’S A BIG SPENDER
The idea is usually to ‘impress’, so they’ll go out of their way to spend so much money to make you feel like they’re ‘not cheap’, and they have a lot of it. The sad bit is they usually borrow a lot of that money, and hope to get it all back from you once you let your guard is down, and you trust them. The moment they have your trust, the demands will start coming.
HE’S ALWAYS ASKING TO BORROW MONEY FROM YOU
He doesn’t want to sound like he’s completely broke, so he can’t tell you to give him money, he’s going to come up with some excuse about needing some part of a larger sum to invest in a business. A lot of ‘caring’ women would want to see their man blossom, so they yield.
HE LACKS AMBITION
I think being unemployed or underemployed is normal at some point in a person’s life, but it’s not about where you find yourself right now, but what you do to change that. A lot of guys just want to look good, date you, and feed off you. You should beware of people like that.
YOUR GUT TELLS YOU SO
Well, some of us have really incredible minds. When something goes wrong, we get the inkling. If you’re dating someone who for some reason, you keep having second thoughts about his honesty to you, you might want to reconsider for your own good.
