Cheating to me is a betrayal of trust, and most times a relationship never go back the same when trust is broken.
If a partner cheats and gets caught, should that partner get a second chance? There are so many angles to look at this question from, but I’d centre on two – change and forgiveness:
1) Change: For you to accept that partner back, there has to be a level of change; if that partner hasn’t changed, then continuing the relationship will only get you frustrated. Let there be a level of change before you think of a second chance.
2) Forgiveness: Even if that partner has changed, you need to have a forgiving heart to continue in that relationship. If you can’t forgive the act, then the relationship can never be intact; the love and bond will never be like before. Forgiveness on your part is a crucial factor, and by forgiveness I mean total forgiveness without holding anything back. If you’re still holding things back, the relationship will never move forward.
These are two very important things to consider if you are faced with a cheating partner in your relationship.
