SCIENTISTS DESIGNING A REVOLUTIONARY CONDOM THAT WOULD MAKE INTIMACY BETTER

A ground-breaking design that could change our intimacy with our partners is being spearheaded by scientists from the University of Wollongong.

Researchers from the University of Wollongong in Australia are designing ultra-durable condoms they claim could feel even better than nothing at all. The Australian team behind the design, led by materials scientist Robert Gorkin, won a grant for a next generation condom in 2013, giving them access to US$100,000 to use on research.

The scientists claim the contraceptive is made with hydrogel, a strong and flexible solid which can be made to feel and act like human tissue.

The scientists believe the materials are strong enough and actually do prevent against the transfer of small biological molecules. They also believe if condoms can be made to be more pleasurable, it would encourage more people to use them and this would hopefully help stop the spread of diseases.

So would you be happy to use them and dump the conventional ones when they become available?
