Sarah Smith wrote about her experiment for the Daily Mail and she seems to suggest that drinking lots of water can actually transform your look.

She suffered from headaches and felt grotesque about it, so she decided to drink more water to see if it would help.

For one month she drank three litres of water a day, and although her reasons for doing the experiment were purely health, the physical results were remarkable.

However, not everyone seems convinced as to the effects of water in transforming the skin.

Skin doctor Joshua Zeichner, told Cosmo US: “There is no convincing data that eight [or more] glasses per day of water truly improve skin texture and tone.”

Dr Joe Cincotta (the man behind Time Bomb, an anti-aging range) seems to give Sarah Smith’s claim more backing. Dehydration can make skin suffer, he says: “It will look flat and show tiny, triangular fine line. With age, skin’s ability to hold water decreases and dehydration is common.”

True or untrue, I think I’d be taking my water consumption a tad higher; after all, I have nothing to lose.
