Cheating is a subject that will never really stop recurring in the dating and marriage world. Men are cheaters, and so are women, but more often than not, the former are attributed with being more likely to show the behaviour than the latter. And while we’re not going to start discussing why this is the common belief, we will be looking at some of the reasons that are easily cited for being the reason men cheat.
1. HIS EMOTIONAL NEEDS AREN’T BEING MET
Men, like women like to get attention. They want to feel loved, and one of the ways that can happen is by having the woman in their life show them emotional support.
There are times when he’ll want an ear to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. When the woman isn’t showing enough interest in sharing his burden, or she seemingly can’t seem to read between the lines, it a potential red flag, which can drive a man to look for it elsewhere.
2. HIS PHYSICAL NEEDS AREN’T BEING MET
When we say ‘physical needs’, we mean his needs in bed.
When a woman cannot satisfy her man in the bedroom, despite all of his attempts to get her to, there’ll come a time when he perhaps just chooses to look outside his relationship for those things he cannot get.
3. INSECURITY
It’s impossible to believe it, but there are men who really can’t fathom that they’re truly loved by their partner for any reason, because in their subconscious, they believe they aren’t in her league, and they are going to be dumped eventually anyway, so why not start making arrangements for another relationship once this fails so you don’t get left hanging?
4. HE SAW HIS FATHER CHEAT
Children learn fast. The things they see growing up tend to stick in their minds, and when you grow with something, it is sometimes, near difficult to break away from it.
A child who had to see his father cheat on his mom with different women perhaps will likely grow thinking it’s the right way to go.
5. HIS FRIENDS ARE CHEATS
“Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are”, right? This adage is very real. You’re the company you keep. It’s hard to live amongst men who believe in running after women all the time, and be the sane one among them. Most men cheat today because their friends showed them it is okay to do so.
6. HEARTBREAK
Men who cheat are likely to be people who suffered heartbreak in the past from women or a woman who cheated on them. Some of them grow with hate and spite in their hearts, and are likely to want to punish every woman they meet because of someone else’s past mistake.
7. IT’S ALL FOR ‘FUN’
Some people seek thrills and fun in different ways, and for some men, cheating on the woman in their life is just the perfect way to get enough of it.
It is important to note that there is no justification for cheating. We have always said that it is better to be single than cheat because not only do you hurt your partner by doing so, but you also waste your time and expose yourself to all sorts of danger.
