JUST FOR LAUGHS: 4 TYPES OF MEN WE’LL SEE THIS VAL’S SEASON

It’s February again. The season of love and expressions. A lot of people (men) usually exchange gifts and show lots of love to their partner this time of the year (at least, that is the belief). But it is also worthy of note that just as there are different types of men out there, we will be getting different reactions to the season.

Take a look at some of the things women can expect to see from their men this season.

THOSE WHO ARE PREPARED TO IMPRESS

Like I mentioned in my intro, there is usually the expectation of gifts and presents on the part of women this season. The good thing is there are men who understand this and are willing to go the mile just to impress and prove to their significant other that they’re indeed cherished. Some men will buy cars, others houses and other expensive gifts this season. People in this category also probably already booked a dinner table at some fancy restaurant for the season.

THOSE WHO WON’T DO ANYTHING

There are those who just aren’t cut out for the Val’s ‘madness’ regardless of whether they have money or not (some genuinely don’t), and they know it will likely cause a problem in their relationship if they don’t do anything, so they’re already cooking up excuses to save their heads. Ladies, you’ll hear excuses like, “We’ve not been paid for the month, “I have a business meeting at dubai” etc. The truth is he just doesn’t want to buy a present in the spirit of the season.

THOSE WHO’LL RATHER BE AT CHURCH

Well, February 14 this year happens to be on a Wednesday, a day a lot of churches have their midweek service. So ladies, expect your man to either take you to church or go alone on that day. This could be because he doesn’t have a thing for the season or he just sees it as an easy way out from the spending.

THOSE THAT WILL WATCH FOOTBALL

Football matches will happen on that day — high profile ones at that. If you have a lover that loves football, I’m not sure how they’re going to balance both. But chances are fanatics will rather watch the games, and the ones who put you above the sport will dine with you with their mind on the games.

Ladies, whatever happens, please remember that it’s just one or a few days. Don’t let it ruin your relationship. Remember that ‘boys will be boys’.
