“Love is blind” is a popular phrase amongst people who are head over heels with some other person. Whether or not it is, I can’t exactly argue it right now, but I do know that love is not stupid, and it shouldn’t put anyone at risk for itself.
I’ve seen a lot of people do all sorts in the name of love, and that’s quite crazy because at the end, they’re the ones who suffer. There are things you can do for love, and things you just can’t.
Here are a few of those “love Don’ts”.
STEALING/ KILLING FOR LOVE
For some reason, you’re always willing to go to any length to please the one you care about. We’ve read stories of thieving and killing couples who eventually went down to the wrath of the law. As much as you may think you cherish someone, you should be in control of your feelings and emotions. You should be able to tell good and evil apart. It is foolishness to kill/steal in the name of love.
RECKLESS SPENDING
A genuine relationship is one that seeks to save and build toward an agreed future. If your partner keeps asking you for ridiculously expensive gifts and cash, please, ignore them because they don’t really love you as much as you think.
REJECT FAMILY AND FRIENDS
The day you have to choose between your partner and your family, before you make your decision, just pause and ask yourself if it’ll be worth it. What is the guarantee they’re going to be there forever? If you lose them too tomorrow, you’d have lost everything. Your family and friends will always be there, your lover may not.
GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS
Nothing is as important as your dreams. If you want to get education or acquire something, you must go for it, full throttle, and let nothing hold you back. The lover that asks their partner to drop their ambitions and goals certainly doesn’t mean well for them. Your partner is supposed to encourage and support you to be the best you can be.
