YOU WOULD NEVER ARGUE WITH YOUR PARTNER AFTER READING THIS

We all know that arguments could kill a relationship; arguments are a weak link in a relationship, it can gradually tear apart a relationship. A few days ago, Phil did an article on top reasons you should quit arguing with your partner and he listed ways that it could affect the relationship.

However, a research has found one more reason to quit arguing with your partner. A research from Ohio State University found that marital rows and depression increases the risk of obesity. The researchers found that partners who had heated arguments burned lesser calories after a meal than less argumentative partners.

The researchers had a sample size of 43 couples between 24 to 61 years of age who had been married for at least three years. The participants completed a questionnaire that assessed their marital satisfaction, past mood disorders and depressive symptoms.

The research found that couples who argue frequently had higher level of insulin which contributes to the storage of fats. According to lead researcher, Jan Kiecold-Glaser: “This study not only identifies how chronic stressors can lead to obesity, but also point to how important it is to treat mood disorders.” Do you need another reason to quit all the unnecessary arguments?
