The survey, which involved over a thousand respondents (men and women), asked people how many former sex mates they’d rather their current (or future) partners have. 37% of men went for anything between 8 and 12, with 38 of women also going for the same. This means that more than half the population would want to have a partner who have had sex with an average of 10 people in the past. What informed this preference?
