Everyone is seeking to have peace and rest of mind in life, but ironically, almost everyone is working towards the opposite direction; people are unconsciously digging their own graves of bitterness, stress, anger, anxiety and tension.

An author once said that man’s problem is man, and I agree; we are in a world built on competitiveness, and we see survival as outdoing the next man — you would hardly ever have that relaxed mind when you view life in that vein.

Below are some simple tips that would help you have a relaxed.

1. EXERCISE

Many people see exercising as stressful, without knowing that exercising helps keep the body in good shape. You would feel better when your mind conceives that your body is in a perfect state. Exercising is good for your heart and helps blood flow — this would make you feel more alive.

2. EAT HEALTHY

By eating healthy, I don’t only mean you should eat a balanced diet, but I also mean you should avoid toxic items like drug abuse, alcohol and every other thing that would endanger your life.

3. BE AT PEACE WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Being at peace with your environment doesn’t only mean the trees, plants and atmosphere, but also the people around. Be at peace with your neighbours, give a helping hand if you can, avoid the negative energy that comes with quarrelling with your neighbours.

4. HAVE SOME ALONE TIME

It’s always good to have some alone time, meditate and tap into your inner mind. There might never a thing more relaxing than this — great minds are built by this simple tip.

5. SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

In other words, spend time with people that you not only care about, but people that also care about you. Find love and happiness with these people you care about; they are an important part of your life.

6. CUT OFF HATE FROM YOUR LIFE

Hate would make you live a life without peace. Cut out negative energies like hate, anger, jealousy, greed — they only compound negative effects in your life.

7. CELEBRATE OTHER PEOPLE’S SUCCESS      

This is how you know that you don’t have negative energies in your life. Celebrate people’s success like it was yours; the sky is large enough for everyone — so you need not be jealous or envious. You would feel at peace when you do this.

8. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW

It’s even the worries about tomorrow that would put you under undue pressure to have a life devoid of peace. Your thoughts and worries have a huge effect on you; they are the first phase of action and when your thoughts are about the worries of tomorrow, even your today would be miserable.

9. PRAY

Yes, you read that right. Pray! Prayer is defined as communicating with God and almost every religion practice prayers. If you are a Christian, pray, and if you are a Muslim or a member of any other religion, pray. Prayer sort of gives you that inner peace that everything would be okay; it gives you that belief and confidence.

The world is moving at a fast pace, faster than the pace of yester years, and if you aren’t careful, you would be caught out by its speed. Having a relaxed mind is not only a good way to live in today’s world, but it’s the best way.
