8 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE AND SUCCESS

Success is never achieved by fluke. It takes conscious efforts and understanding to navigate through the challenges of life on your way to becoming successful. Even when you’re already doing well, there’ll come times you’ll need someone to lift you up with the right message. We’re ready to offer you all the support you need because we also understand that success doesn’t come easy.

Here are a few tips to help reshape or refresh your thoughts on success and life.

GREATEST OBSTACLE TO SUCCEEDING IS NOT FAILURE, BUT PAST SUCCESS

Our previous success can hinder us from moving to the next level when we become so full of them. Don’t build your future on your previous successes; rather, let them give you more impetus to be more successful.

EDUCATION IS GREAT, BUT YOU MUST DISCOVER YOURSELF

Your education is not your secret to wealth and fulfillment; the discovery of your gift is. The core purpose of the education should be discovering one’s gift as early as possible and effectively maximising those gifts.

Any education that does not teach us to discover, nurture and develop our gifting and uniqueness is a waste. There is no man that is as poor and miserable as the one that carries all his gifts, talents and potentials to the grave. Real wealth is discovering your gifts and talents and making the world a better place through it.

REJECTION IS NOT ALWAYS THE END

Rejection is painful to deal with, but you cannot allow it bring you down, and keep you stagnated.

There’s a popular saying that, “when one door closes, another opens.” What that means is that life sometimes, wants to take you to a better place, and that’s the reason you keep failing at that one thing. So instead of feeling useless, take a minute, and try another thing.

Oftentimes, the bitterness that comes from rejection doesn’t allow us see the things that are potentially ours.

YOUR WORD IS POWERFUL

Someone on Twitter posted an experiment they did recently. They put boiled rice in two different packs, added water to them, and kept them apart for three weeks. Every day, they spoke beautiful words to the one pack, and to the other, they cursed. At the end of three weeks, they brought out both, and the cursed one was the most spoilt of the two. Moral of the story is there is power in the tongue. The things you say about yourself and those around you can have an impact either negatively or positively.

YOUR VALUE DOESN’T CHANGE BECAUSE SOMEONE FAILED TO SEE IT

People see differently. What one sees with ease, another may not even notice. So if you go to an interview, and they don’t hire you after your efforts, don’t lose faith in your abilities. You have to keep going. There’s definitely someone out there for you, but you may not meet them if you throw in the towel.

BE YOURSELF ALWAYS

There are people who have never tried to be themselves, and that is because they believe they’re not good enough for the world, and someone else is. The truth about living is that you never really live until you’re completely you.

MISTAKES ARE A PART OF SUCCESS

Why is that so? Because you need to fail to learn from it, and be better. Without mistakes there will be nothing close to perfection. So do not dwell on that failed business proposal or the interview that didn’t quite work out, because it offers you a chance to improve on areas you came up short.

THE WORLD DOESN’T OWE YOU

A lot of people are unsuccessful because they have allowed their sense of entitlement stop them from creating opportunities for themselves. They believe that they deserve to get everything good just by reason of being alive, and spend most of their lives wishing, rather than working for it.
