8 THINGS INTELLIGENT PEOPLE DON’T DO

By intelligent people, I don’t mean the ones who were best in their classes, or the ones with high IQ’s or the ones who know so much about everything.

By intelligent, I mean those who know how to handle life’s challenges and come out top. The ones who keep going no matter what life throws at them, and the ones with the right attitude. These are the real intelligent ones, and these are some of the things they don’t do.

1. THEY DON’T RIDICULE OTHER’S TO MAKE THEMSELVES FEEL BETTER

There are people who mock other’s and make fun of other people just to make themselves feel better. Intelligent people know that this is wrong, and they don’t stoop so low.

2. THEY DON’T KEEP SAYING “YES” TO EVERYONE WHEN THEY OUGHT TO SAY “NO”

Intelligent people understand when to say “yes” and “no”. They don’t say “yes” to win people’s approval, or to look good in someone’s eyes. They say “yes” because they want to, and they don’t hesitate to say “no” when they have to. They don’t let people’s judgment and validation make them do something that they shouldn’t really do.

3. THEY DON’T DWELL ON THE PAST

Intelligent people understand that the past may hurt, but the best step forward is to think ahead. They don’t keep dwelling on a past mistake and a past event that hurt them; they understand that this would hinder them from moving forward.

4. THEY’RE NOT NEGATIVE MINDED

Intelligent people think positively; they understand the impact of negativity and don’t give it a chance to settle. They’re positive thinkers and try to think positively in every situation.

5. THEY DON’T LAUGH AT OTHER PEOPLE’S FAILURES

Intelligent people don’t laugh at other people’s failure; they don’t mock when other’s fail and they don’t wish other people failure too. They want the best for everyone, and they’re too busy focusing on their lives to laugh at one’s failures.

6. THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT FAILURE REALLY MEANS

Intelligent people don’t see failure the way other’s do; they understand that failure is only a pathway to success. They try to learn from their failures and try again.

7. THEY DON’T SIT AND COMPLAIN ABOUT LIFE’S CHALLENGES

There are people who sit and complain about how hard life is, about the challenges they are facing and do nothing to overcome those challenges. Intelligent people don’t do that; they know that complaining about a situation wouldn’t make it better. They spend their time more productively and they know that complaints will only weigh them down.

8. THEY DON’T SEE LIFE AS A COMPETITION

Intelligent people aren’t in a competition with others; they don’t see life as a competition, and they understand that there’s room enough for everyone to soar.

Intelligent people are the ones who are rarely angry, the ones who forgive easily, the ones who don’t gossip, the ones who don’t see others as inferior (no matter their class or status), the ones who handle people and situations better — these are the real intelligent people, and life without them would be filled with so much negativity.
