Every man is attracted to a good-looking woman; little wonder a woman with attractive looks is seen as charming by most men.

However, when it comes to settling for a partner in the long-term, men deem a lot of things as important as a woman’s beauty, and some even rank those things as more important than beauty.

A woman who always puts up a good smile would always be cherished. Subconsciously, men are even more attracted to an average looking woman who smiles to a beautiful woman who rarely puts up a smile. A smiling woman passes a message of being caring, having a good heart and being understanding, and these are qualities that men love.

When it comes to a long-term relationship, most men would rather have an understanding woman than just a woman with beauty. Every man hates the woman who complains about everything and nags a lot; the beauty of such woman fades away quickly in the eyes of a man.

There is a big difference between listening and hearing. Many men would appreciate a woman who has the heart and patience to not only be there for him, but listen to him as well. Earlier this month, I read a report of a man who sued his wife just after their wedding night for deceit. He had never seen her without her makeup and was appalled by her looks without it.

A study published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology found that men are more attracted to women in less makeup. This shows that men value a woman who’s natural.

5. A GOOD COOK

Like the old adage goes: ‘the way to a man’s heart is his belly’. It might not be entirely true, but there is a lot of truth in that statement. Men are fonder of women that can cook. Even while growing up, a boy is fonder of his sister that cooks better. Being a good cook is definitely one quality men love in a woman even though we probably wouldn’t admit.

6. CONFIDENCE

Confidence is a trait that triggers the mind. Just as women are attracted to a confident man is the same way a man is attracted to a confident woman. He sees her as mysterious, interesting, appealing and sexy. But be sure not to confuse confidence and pride; only a thin line separates both.
