A lot of the times, we’ve heard stories of people who were backstabbed by their friends and people who have suffered one cruel thing or the other from a friend. We’ve all seen cases of friends who turned into wife/husband snatchers and people who even got poisoned by friends.
If you can look beyond the surface, you’ll know deep down that there are friends who aren’t really your friends.
These are some of the signs they exhibit:
1. THEY ONLY REACH OUT TO YOU WHEN THEY ARE IN NEED
Friends who don’t really care much about you or don’t come close to you except they are in need of something from you aren’t truly your friends; friends like these are only in the relationship for what they can get.
2. FRIENDS WHO BAIL OUT DURING TROUBLES
The foundation of genuine friendship is put to test when one friend is in need or in trouble. A friend who bails out on you when you need them most isn’t truly your friend.
3.FRIENDS WHO TALK BEHIND YOUR BACK
Any friend who can go behind your back and say something bad about you isn’t truly your friend. Friends like these are the real back stabbers.
4. FRIENDS WHO WOULDN’T GIVE YOU SOUND ADVICE
Any friend who would see you walk into a pit and not try to stop you from entering into it isn’t a good friend. Primarily, that’s what friends do; they protect each other from hurt.
5. FRIENDS WHO ARE SELFISH
Friends who only think about themselves and care about themselves aren’t genuine friends. They are only interested in themselves and wouldn’t share anything with you but leftovers.
6. FRIENDS YOU CAN’T TRUST
Any friend who puts up fishy acts that aren’t trustworthy are friends you should give a long spoon. If you can’t truly trust that friend, then that friend isn’t a genuine friend.
7. FRIENDS WHO AREN’T PROUD OF YOU
I’ve seen cases of people who aren’t proud to be out with their friends, either because of class, status or looks – or one reason or the other. If your friend isn’t proud of you and the friendship you both share, then that friend isn’t truly your friend.
8. FRIENDS WHO ARE NEVER HAPPY FOR YOU
Any friend who gets envious of your success and is never truly happy for you when something good is going on in your life, then that person isn’t really your friend.
If you have any friend who displays characters such as these, then that person isn’t truly a friend, and that’s the bitter truth.
