8 REASONS YOU WAKE UP TIRED

wake up tired

How you wake up feeling is highly important and can impact your day, either negatively or positively. Waking up feeling refreshed and energetic would make you productive all day long, while waking up tired would definitely ruin your whole day.

How you start your day matters and these are some of the likely reasons you wake up tired.

1. YOU SLEEP LATE

Like the saying goes “early to bed, early to rise”. You can’t really cheat your body; if you deprive yourself of sleep by sleeping late, you could wake up feeling like you’ve pushed a truck or with headache.

Sometimes, the body needs maximum hours to refresh itself and sleep deprivation can also weaken your body system.

2. WORRIED MIND

You can’t have a good night sleep if your mind is worried about something. If you go to bed feeling worried, you would most definitely wake up feeling tired.

When your mind is at ease, you would have a sound sleep, but when your mind is worried, your sleep would be impaired.

3. SLEEP APNEA

Sleep apnea is another reason why you could wake up feeling tired. A lot of people have sleep apnea and don’t even know.

Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that occurs when you have many pauses in your breathing while sleeping.

4. BREATHING THROUGH THE MOUTH

Breathing through the mouth and even snoring can affect your sleep, leaving you tired the morning after. When you breathe through your mouth or snore, you might not get enough air and this could hamper your sleep.

5. NOCTURIA

Nocturia is when you go to the bathroom too frequently at night. While some people could continue their sleep immediately after without feeling any major impact, some might take time to go back to sleep and this could be a huge problem. Nocturia could cut short your sleep by hours.

6. LACK OF LIGHT

You should allow daytime light to enter your room in the morning. Blocking off daytime light could affect your body’s circadian rhythm.

7. CAFFEINE ALCOHOL

Taking caffeine just before bedtime can make it difficult for you to sleep, while drinking alcohol before bedtime could make your sleep tiring and uneasy and you would wake up feeling extremely tired.

8. HITTING SNOOZE ON YOUR ALARM

Have you ever noticed that whenever you hit the snooze on your alarm, you wake up feeling deprived? The sleep you get in-between your alarm isn’t quality sleep and would mess up your body’s natural sleep cycle.

Hitting the snooze button would impair your sleep and make you wake up feeling tired.

Do you wake up feeling tired? It could just be any of these reasons.
