7 WAYS TO STOP FEELING INSECURE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

sad woman

Insecurity in relationships is a common issue, but it’s one that’s unhealthy and could kill the love and harmony in your relationship.

Insecurity could turn your eyes away from the truth, and it’s easy to lose a good partner when you feel insecure. I’ve seen people who feel they aren’t good enough for someone or people who don’t believe that their partner loves them, just because they aren’t secure with their looks or body.

When you are insecure in your relationship, you make it easy for your partner to lose interest in you. Insecurity isn’t a good trait.

These are 7 ways you can stop feeling insecure and save your relationship.

1. STOP ASSUMING

People make unnecessary assumptions just because of their insecurity. They assume their partner is cheating when that person isn’t, they assume their partner doesn’t love them even when their partner has done more than enough to show them love. The first step to solving your feeling of insecurity is to stop assuming.

2. STOP FOCUSING ON YOUR PAST RELATIONSHIPS

If you must enjoy your current relationship, you should forget about your past relationships. A lot of insecurities stem out from the fact that people bring their past relationships into their present.

Forget about that past relationship that didn’t turn out well and enjoy your current relationship.

3. LEARN TO BE DEPENDENT ON YOURSELF

Being overly dependent on someone else and being unable to depend on yourself could make you insecure in your relationship.

Stop being dependent on others; learn to seek for strength from within. If you can do this, you can solve your problem of insecurity.

4. STOP BELIEVING YOU AREN’T GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYONE

There are so many beautiful people with beautiful hearts, but their mind convinces them into believing that they aren’t good enough. They let their mind trick them into being the opposite of who they really are.

Stop believing that you aren’t good enough and start believing that you are good enough for the very best.

5. STOP TRYING TO READ MEANING INTO EVERYTHING

Some partners get paranoid over everything. They get paranoid over seeing their partner talk to someone else, they get paranoid about their partner having a friendly chat with another person and a lot of people get paranoid over little things that don’t even matter.

To stop feeling easily paranoid, stop reading meaning into everything.

6. STOP THINKING IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT

A lot of people’s feeling of insecurity stem from the fact that they blame everything on themselves; they blame themselves even for their partner’s mistakes, and this is unhealthy.

Stop thinking it’s your fault and stop blaming yourself for your partner’s mistakes.

7. STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVES

Learn to focus on the positive side of your relationship and less on the negative side. You would tend to feel more insecure when your mind is focused on the negative and even little things that don’t matter would trigger a feeling of insecurity.

Your mind controls more than half of the things you do; feed it wisely.

You can hardly have a beautiful relationship if you are an insecure person. This has nothing to do with your partner but you; even if you have the best man/woman in the world, your insecurities can kill your relationship.
