Food poisoning can cause and illnesses and even lead to death. Many people act nonchalantly towards the food they eat and water they drink.

1. WASH YOUR HANDS

First things first, never cook without washing your hands. Wash your hands with warm and soapy water before and after preparing food. Cooking with your hands unwashed is unhealthy.

Wash your cooking utensils and cooking surfaces with hot and soapy water as well. Cooking with dirty utensils or on dirty surfaces is unhygienic and can increase the risk of food poisoning.

3. KEEP RAW FOODS SEPARATELY

Keep raw foods like meat and fish away from already made food. This is important because raw meats and fish can transfer bacteria to the already made food, especially when it’s fruits, salad and other foods that won’t be cooked.
