A wedding planner plays a very important role and their importance should not be underrated.
I’ve written on the importance of using a wedding planner, but this doesn’t mean you should choose any wedding planner you come across.
The following things should be considered:
1. YOUR BUDGET
First, you must have a budget, and after considering your budget, you should look for a wedding planner who would perfectly work within your designated budget.
2. DECIDE ON THE KIND OF WEDDING PLANNER YOU WANT
There are different people with different personalities, and there are also different kinds of wedding planners. Decide on the kind of wedding planner you need and go for that planner.
3. YOU MUST HAVE MADE THE NECESSARY PLAN
Before you finally approach your wedding planner, you must at least have an idea of your wedding budget, your wedding date, the number of people you would like to invite and your vision for the wedding. This would make the job of the wedding planner more specific and easier to handle.
4. CHOOSE A PLANNER YOU CAN HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH
Don’t just choose any wedding planner; choose a wedding planner that’s ready to listen to you and one you can have a good rapport with. Good communication is really important when choosing a wedding planner.
5. YOUR PLANNER SHOULD UNDERSTAND YOUR VISION
A wedding isn’t just a wedding; almost everyone have what they want in a wedding. So your wedding planner should understand your idea and not force his/her idea on you.
6. VERIFY
Make sure to ask around and get other people’s response of what they feel about the wedding planner. Verification would help you know whether that wedding planner is really worth it.
7. VERIFY THE CONTRACT
Like every business agreement, you shouldn’t rush into signing anything; verify the contract terms and make sure you are comfortable with it before signing.
Don’t be in a haste to choose a wedding planner; choose a planner that you would be comfortable with and would bring good results.
