7 THINGS YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DO IF YOU WANT YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO BE HEALTHY

To have a healthy relationship isn’t impossible; it only means you have to cut off unhealthy acts.

These are some things you must be willing to do (always, not sometimes), if you want your relationship to be healthy.

1. AVOID BLAME GAMES

If you must have a healthy relationship, you must be willing to avoid blaming each other for every thing that goes wrong in the relationship. Learn to let go of certain things, and learn to take responsibilities.

2. NEVER BRING UP OLD FIGHTS

Never bring up old fights and quarrels, because they bring more troubles. If you have truly forgiven your partner, then those past fights and mistakes they made must be let go of.

3. STOP WITHHOLDING APOLOGIES

When you do something wrong, be mature enough to apologise; it wouldn’t take anything from you.

4. SHOW AT LEAST ONE ACT OF KINDNESS EVERYDAY

Do something kind for your partner every day. Showing your partner kindness is also the same thing as showing your partner love.

5. STOP COMPARISONS

You can’t expect your relationship to be healthy, when you do something as unhealthy as comparing your relationship with another. Stop comparing your relationship, rather be grateful for the one you have.

6. LEARN TO APPRECIATE

Appreciation is another gesture that you’ll need, if you want your relationship to be healthy. Learn to appreciate anything your partner does for you, no matter how little. The importance of appreciation can never be underestimated.

7. LEARN TO BE SELFLESS

Many relationships and marriages suffer and fail because of the lack of selflessness — rather, partners tend to be selfish. When you cut off selfishness from your relationship, you cut off a lot of garbage.

It’s not enough to want a healthy relationship; you must be willing to do these.
