7 THINGS YOU DON’T REALLY HAVE TO SHARE WITH YOUR PARTNER

They say that love is about sharing. We agree, but it is also true that it isn’t everything one has to share because sometimes, the best intentions can be conveyed wrongly. In fact, it is best to not say some things at all if you want to save your relationship.

Take a quick glance at the following list of things not to say to your partner in a relationship.

BODY COUNT

Some people have a thing for revealing the number of people they’ve had sex with, it could be because they want to brag about it or they just want to do so for the sake of honesty. Whichever it is, it is advised that you stay off talk like that because they can hurt your partner, and perhaps deter them from even continuity in the relationship. Unless you have never had sex, you can talk about body count.

HISTORY WITH YOUR EX

When you get into a new relationship, forget everything that happened in the former. Let your ex be, and focus on what you have. No matter the level of confidence you may think you have in your partner, trust me, they don’t want to hear about how you slept with the man before him or her.

PEOPLE WHO HIT ON YOU

This is mostly done with good intentions sometimes, but like I rightly mentioned before, even the best intentions can be misconstrued. You want to tell your partner who has been hitting on you so as to seem very honest and real, but then, do not forget that they’re human, and they can get troubled and paranoid, so it might be best to keep this information to yourself.

WHO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON

Being in a serious relationship means you can’t date someone else for that period, but it doesn’t mean you can’t find another person attractive. However, no matter who it is, it’s best to keep your crush’s identity to yourself, unless you want to break up with your partner.

THAT YOU SNOOPED THROUGH THEIR PROPERTY

We all get tempted to do this sometimes, but it’s never a good idea to. If you have any questions or doubts, talk to them about it. However, if you do snoop, and you succeed, remember to not talk to them about it. Even if you find evidence to use against them, it may be best to keep it to yourself because they will use your own actions against you.

THAT YOU WATCH THEIR EX

Insecurity can push a person to do all sorts of crazy stuff, like stalking the Ex of your partner. It is wrong to do so, but is even worse when you tell your partner about your actions.

YOUR NEGATIVE FEELINGS ABOUT THEIR PARENT(S)

Because you’re a human being, there’s a very good chance you’ll not like your man or girl’s parents. However, it’s also a very wise thing to not tell them about it so as not to spark hatred or discomfort in them.
