Men are also faced with loneliness — mentally and physically says Dr. Louann Brizendine, author of “The Male Brain”. He believes that men do not reach out to others and this in turn leads to isolation and loneliness. However, when men are in a stable relationship, they tend to be healthier, live longer and be more flushed in hormones that decrease anxiety.

4. MEN ARE WIRED TO CHECK OUT WOMEN

If you notice, men have that habit of checking out a lady wherever they go; science has an explanation for that, as it’s believed to be part of the male brain. Dr Pranjal Mehta, a social psychologist at Columbia University, has found that testosterone actually impairs the impulse-control region of the brain. Men have six times more testosterone flowing through them than women, and that’s a major reason for such behaviour. However, she reveals that “they often forget about the woman once she’s out of their visual field”.

5. MEN ARE MORE EMOTIONAL THAN WOMEN

According to a 2013 study carried out by neurologists at Mindlab, men are actually more emotional than women, just that they are better at hiding it. Neuropsychologist Dr David Lewis, the director of Mindlab and a former lecturer at the University of Sussex revealed that ‘men feel emotion just as much as women, sometimes more strongly, but are less willing to express these emotions openly due to expectations put on them by society’.
