6 WEDDING PLANNING MISTAKES YOU SHOULD AVOID

This piece of information is important for those planning a wedding and those who hope to get married in future.

There are certain mistakes people make when planning their wedding and it’s important you avoid these mistakes.

1. BLOWING YOUR BUDGET ON JUST YOUR DRESS

Just because you set aside $2,000 in your budget for fashion doesn’t mean you should blow it up on your gown. You should also make provisions for undergarments, jewellery, shoes and hair accessories.

2. NOT HIRING A VIDEOGRAPHER

Photos only in your wedding have its own limits. Having your wedding on video is something you shouldn’t neglect as it offers you the opportunity to see the sights and sounds of your wedding again. This also means you get to see the things you missed on your big day.

3. USING YOUR FRIEND AS THE DJ

Just because your friend is a music lover and has a good collection of music doesn’t mean you should consider using him as a DJ on your big day. Make sure you use a pro because music is an important feature in your wedding. Even on a tight budget, it still makes sense to use a pro.

4. NOT HAVING ENOUGH TIME FOR YOUR PHOTOS

Rushing your photo session might ruin your photos and this isn’t what you want. I advice you take some minutes to cool off before taking the photos so you appear relaxed in your photos. Don’t also forget to take photos before the ceremony as you are probably relaxed at that point.

5. USING ANYONE AS YOUR BRIDESMAID

Avoid using anyone as your bridesmaid. Your bridesmaids should be your closest friends, sisters and cousins. Your bridesmaids have to be people you’d trust to be there when you need them most.

6. NOT LETTING YOUR VENDORS DO THEIR JOB

This is why it’s important you choose talented professionals who can translate your vision into reality. It’s important you trust the vendors you chose for your wedding as they have more experience managing a wedding than you.
