6 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE GOING TO BED IF YOU WANT TO BE PRODUCTIVE

Your rate of productivity to a large extent would determine how successful or unsuccessful you would be in life.

While every other person starts their day the morning after, the highly productive people start their day the night before.

There are some things you ought to do before going to bed if you want to be productive.

1. REVIEW THE DAY

To the unproductive person, the day is past and there is nothing you can do about it — that really is a false notion. If you want to be productive you ought to review how your day went; the things you did right, the things you did wrong and the things you could have done better. What mistakes did I make? Did I miss an opportunity? Did I maximise my strengths well enough? The answers to these questions would give you insight on what you ought to do to make your tomorrow better, and that in itself is the first step to productivity.

2. THEY PLAN FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY

Having an idea of what you’re going to do the following day would leave you highly organised. If you have to wait for the next day without having a plan, you would find that you have so many things to do, and you would end up doing so little. In order of importance, make a list of all that you ought to do; this would make you focused and organised, and that is highly important if you want to productive.

3. CREATE TIME FOR FAMILY

Family is always important, and to some extent they can boost and damage your productivity level. If you have a happy family, you would be happy, and happiness can boost productivity. Also, if your family is in chaos, you would have a non-relaxed mind which can lead to you being unproductive.

4. RELAX

Create a short time to relax; relax your body and relax your mind. A relaxed body and mind are important to boost productivity, as they would leave you energetic for the next day’s work. All work and no play they say make Jack a dull boy.

5. MEDITATE

Create that time every night before bed to just meditate — think of nothing, do nothing, just meditate. Meditation would help relax your mind, and would even help you sleep better.

6. THINK OF THE GOAL

What’s your goal in life? What do you want to achieve? Picture your success every night, picture where you want to be, avoid negative thoughts. This would help you believe more in your dreams and goals and would give you the strength, desire and confidence to achieve them.

 

How you end the night plays a huge role on how your day would pan out.
