1. EGO
Ego would never help your relationship but it instead destroys your relationship gradually. Ego makes you assume you’re too good for your partner. Ego won’t make you see your partner as your equal and teammate. When you allow ego rear its ugly head in your relationship, you gradually start losing respect for your partner and this will tear your relationship apart.
2. YOU ALWAYS BLAME YOUR PARTNER
It’s so easy to blame your partner when things go wrong in your relationship. Most people will never admit they played a role when something goes wrong; they always look for someone to blame. You tear your relationship apart when you always blame your partner when something goes wrong. Always try to find out where you went wrong; stop blaming your partner for everything.
3. YOU EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM YOUR PARTNER
Unrealistic expectations will never help your relationship. You put your partner under so much pressure when you expect too much from your partner. Comparing your relationship to that of others doesn’t help too. Avoid tearing your relationship apart by expecting too much from your partner.
4. YOU HAVE TOO MANY NEEDS
You tear your relationship apart when you have needs that can’t be fulfilled by your partner. How reasonable are your needs? You shouldn’t expect your every need to be fulfilled by your partner because your partner is actually human. Some needs can’t be justified and aren’t worth it. Stop tearing your relationship apart by having too many needs.
5. YOU DON’T SEE YOUR PARTNER AS YOUR CONFIDANT
You tear your relationship apart when you don’t see your partner as your confidant. Your relationship suffers when you feel more comfortable talking to someone else things about your life and your relationship. You should be doing that with your partner and not someone outside your relationship.
6. YOU AVOID TALKING ABOUT ISSUES
When you bottle things up and avoid talking to your partner about it, your relationship will suffer from it. When your partner does things you don’t like and you choose not to talk about it with your partner, these little annoyances you chose not to talk about with your partner will lead to huge frustrations in your relationship.
