6 THINGS EVERY ADULT SHOULD HAVE STOPPED BEFORE HITTING 25

For some reason, 25 is considered the real age of adulthood, because it’s your silver jubilee as a living human, and by that time, it’s expected that you’re a better person, and ready to take on the world. At that age, your decisions must be very positive, and capable of moving you in the right direction, because anything otherwise is inappropriate for your growth.

At age 25, you’re expected to have moved beyond certain habits, otherwise, you may end up living a life full of regrets.

Here’s a list of some of the things every adult is expected to have dropped by the time they turn 25.

COMPUTER ILLITERACY

The world is growing and changing fast. You must be ready to grow with it or simply fall off. The biggest brands and organisations today are only after people who are computer literate in the labour market. If by 25 you’re not, and you can’t even boast of basic computer tools likes PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel, then, there’s a big problem with you.

YOU CAN’T TAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS

Like I mentioned earlier, 25 is considered the real age of adulthood. If by that age you cannot even boast of being your own person and you can’t stand by the decisions you make without being influenced by friends or family, something is definitely wrong with your life.

YOU DON’T USE YOUR TIME WISELY

Some people are all about partying and having fun all the time. For people like this, there’s no time for work, so they end up wasting their time. And they never realise it until it’s too late.

YOU’RE AN ADDICTED BETTOR

A lack of control over oneself in things like betting and even gambling could result in total addiction to it – and this is unhealthy. Addicted bettors bet on anything, and everything without calculating the possible risks involved. They even end up spending important monies meant for other things on betting.

COMPLETE DEPENDENCE ON THOSE AROUND YOU

How could one be dependent on his or her parents, even at 25? It shows a lack of hunger for success, and growth. If you are 25 and above, and you’re not making your own money somehow, no matter how little, something is wrong.

YOU LIE TOO MUCH

Lying isn’t really all about age; it’s just plain lack of integrity. If you say something is like this, it should be that way, and not otherwise. When you lie, you weaken people’s confidence in you. Integrity is always a valuable trait.
