6 SIGNS PORN IS TAKING YOUR PLACE IN THE RELATIONSHIP

man watching porn

Going through college, I met a lot of guys who couldn’t live without porn, and many even go on to see porn as the real deal. Watching the movie Don Jon made me realise that porn addiction could actually take one’s place in a relationship.

Is your partner addicted to pornographic movies? Do you think it’s affecting your place in the relationship?

Below are signs that suggest porn might be harming your relationship:

1. WHEN YOU FIND IT HARD TO TURN YOUR PARTNER ON

When your relationship reaches a point where only a pornographic content can turn your partner on then that’s a sign that porn has taken the place of your relationship.

2. WHEN YOUR PARTNER SPENDS MORE TIME ON PORN THAN WITH YOU

A relationship shouldn’t only be about sex; togetherness and communication are two other important things. When these two are being affected because of your partner’s addiction to porn then you can firmly say that porn is taking your place in the relationship.

3. WHEN YOU ARE UNDER PRESSURE TO COMPETE WITH THE PORN SEX

Truth, be told; porn tries to sell a perfect body, perfect sex and perfect orgasm to its viewers. When your partner tends to put pressure on you to reach the heights of the perfect sex that porn sells, then porn is definitely taking your place in the relationship.

4. WHEN IT MAKES YOUR PARTNER OBSESSED

Porn addiction could make one obsessed to the point where sex could become a sport that would want to be practiced regularly. When your partner becomes addicted to the point where he always want a threesome with other women or he chases other women or has so many other sexual fantasies that he doesn’t want to fulfil with you, then porn is taking your place in that relationship.

5. YOUR SEX LIFE HAS FIZZLED OUT

When your partner watches porn to the extent where you rarely have sex, then that could be a problem.

6. WHEN YOUR PARTNER DOESN’T ENJOY SEX ANYMORE

When your partner doesn’t enjoy sex with you anymore but rather enjoys only pornographic contents then porn is really taking your place in that relationship.

Porn addiction can actually take your place in a relationship; Drama and Shawn shares my sentiment in their debate on one edition of the Sunday Love Special.

Worse still, a 2014 research even suggests that porn addiction is decreasing the likelihood for American couples to get married.
