You know how important your phone is to you, but do you really treat it as something important? People unconsciously treat their phones with disdain, without knowing that they are causing harm to the little device.

When you take proper care of your phone, it lasts longer and performs to its optimal function. However, not using your phone properly could lead to so many problems early on. From a financial point of view, it’s unwise when you keep spending money on phone repairs and purchases simply because you can’t handle a phone with care. A lot of people can’t handle this dear device with care, and these are some of the things they do wrong.

1. AT THE BOTTOM OF A BAG

It’s improper to keep your phone at the bottom of a bag stuffed with items like books. The pressure could cause the battery to expand and even burst. Inasmuch as cell phone batteries are pretty durable, they can easily malfunction and overheat when put under such circumstances.

2. UNDER THE SUN

Just as so many other things, the sun can have a devastating effect on your cell phone. Extreme cold and extreme heat are bad for your cell phones.

3. NEXT TO YOUR COOKER

In a bid to never miss a call, you might be tempted to have your phone with you at also times, even close to your stove while cooking. This is also not conducive for your phone.

4. THE BATHROOM

Of course, you should know that phone and water aren’t best of friends. Keeping your phone in the bathroom is quite risky, as it could fall into a pool of water or water from the bathroom could splash on it and in it.

5. THE EDGE OF A TABLE

Do not keep your cell phone at the edge of any surface. It’s more likely to fall especially when your vibration is on. This can cause your screen to crack and could also cause other problems.

6. YOUR BACK POCKET

The back pocket of your trouser might be a cool place to keep your phone, especially for the ladies, but it also comes with its own risks. Sitting on your phone without knowing poses a high risk, and tight pockets could make your phone to flex slightly and this could affect your phone and the battery too.

I’m sure no one loves to have a faulty phone just after a few months of use. Just as people use a phone for years without having a single issue, some also use their phones for weeks or few months and experience diverse issues.

If you don’t take care of your phone, who will?
