6 OBSTACLES YOU SHOULDN’T LET TO KILL YOUR MOTIVATION

Becoming motivated to do something isn’t a big deal; it’s staying motivated that’s actually the big deal.

Sometimes one could gain motivation to start something, to turn an idea into reality, to transform dreams into achievements…but then few weeks or months down the line, the motivation to continue dies off.

A lot of the times, we let certain part of our lifestyle kill our motivation, and when you let those things come in, you cannot remain the same.

These are some obstacles you shouldn’t allow to kill your motivation:

1. FEAR

Fear is a major obstacle to motivation; once you let fear in, then all you’ll see is failure and not the goal. Fear and motivation are at two opposite ends; it has to be one or the other.

2. DOUBTS

When doubts start to creep in, then you could begin to see a million reasons why you wouldn’t succeed. Doubt will make you lose confidence in yourself, and see your dreams as something that cannot be achieved.

3. NEGATIVE THINKING

The way you think affects the end product of what you do, whether you are aware of this or not. You can’t reach your desired goal when you’re thinking negatively. Success starts with the mind, and overcoming challenges also starts in the mind. When you let negative thinking rule your thoughts, then success might seem unlikely.

4. IMPATIENCE

A lot of the times, success comes after sustained patience. An impatient person can hardly ever be successful. It takes patience to seek knowledge, it takes patience to learn from your mistakes and it takes patience to turn something little into something huge.

5. ENVY

Envy and comparisons is an obstacle that will kill your motivation. Envy will make you channel your energy into something that isn’t worth it, while the thing that is actually worth it will remain stagnant. Envy will make you forget how worth it your life really is and make you focus on other trivial things, and when you do this, it wouldn’t take too long for your motivation to die.

6. INACTION

Motivation needs work; it needs action for it to be sustained. When you are motivated to do something and you aren’t working towards it, your motivation will die in no time. Inaction is a big killer of motivation.

You don’t need to wait for a new year, or a new month, before you become motivated to do something — such motivations don’t last. Also, whenever you are motivated to reach a set goal or target, try not to let these six things listed in this article to rub you off that motivation.
