6 HARMS YOU CAN CAUSE YOURSELF IF YOU DON’T DRINK ENOUGH WATER

glass of water

Have you ever heard the saying that ‘water is life’? I guess everyone knows that saying; water is important to the human health and that saying isn’t a fluke, it isn’t one to be taken for granted.

The average male adult body constitutes of about 65% water. The human body can survive without food way longer than it can without water; so if you haven’t been taking your water too seriously, you need a re-orientation.

You might have been causing yourself harm if your water intake is low, and I’d share some of them.

1. INCREASED HEALTH CHALLENGES

If you’ve not been taking your water intake too serious, you might often find yourself in a hospital bed. If you don’t drink enough water, you increase the chances of getting kidney stone, heart attack, urinary and colon cancer.

2. YOU TEND TO AGE QUICKLY

Research has shown that water is a natural anti-ageing formula; water helps the skin, it relaxes skin lines and wrinkles, makes the skin firm and even lightens skin complexion. So drinking enough water ensures you don’t age quickly.

3. PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION

Lack of water can also cause some harm to your body, they include waist and back pain, headaches, muscle and joint pain, chronic fatigue, asthma and even diabetes.

4. CONSTIPATION

Lack of water can make you have constipation. Constipation is the condition of being unable to get rid of waste materials from your body, and that’s terrible. If you don’t drink enough water you won’t have enough liquid to help in the elimination and digestion process.

5. DEHYDRATION

Dehydration can be caused by a lack of enough water in the body system. When the body begins to dehydrate it means the tissues aren’t getting enough water to help in the proper functioning of the body. Fatigue and migraine with general feeling of being unwell are some of the symptoms of dehydration.

6. YOU GAIN WEIGHT

Research has shown time after time that a lack of water can lead to a gain in weight. When you drink enough water, you feed the cells and tissues in the body which actually releases fat toxins out of the body. Fat deposit increases when water intake decreases.

Do you drink enough water? A lack of it would cause any or all of these harms to your body. 8 glasses of water daily is the known healthy minimum intake you need.
