5 THINGS EVERYONE WANTS IN THEIR LONG TERM PARTNER

Because a long-term relationship is different from a fling or a pointless affair, the requirements and factors that influence our choice of a partner sometimes differ.

Here are 5 things people usually look out for.

DEPENDABILITY

Men want a woman who is faithful, reliable and trustworthy, and women want the same thing in their man!

We all want a loyal mate who will have our back, and not stray elsewhere. I mean, if I’m going to commit, I need a good reason to, especially given the life-cycle of most marriages these days, so it’s no wonder that being a dependable partner is highly revered.

EMOTIONAL STABILITY

When that ‘settling down’ time hits, we look out for someone who has a high level of emotional intelligence. Physical attraction is only a part of it and not as important as a lot may think.

A sane person will only make a safe investment in a partner who is grounded and who will not make their life more difficult or potentially threaten their freedom.

INTELLIGENCE

This factor is really important and highly undervalued. A lot of people I know (male and female) want to be able to connect with their partner on an intellectual level. They adore people who have something between their ears and a high level of education to back it up.

A HAPPY DEMEANOUR

Everyone loves positivity. Happiness radiates that! An unhappy person only brings negative energy, which can cause so much more damage than we know. So the average person naturally seeks to settle with a happy soul because of course, what you can see affects what you feel.

SOCIABILITY

We all want to cohabit with a partner who makes friends easily and can have a proper conversation with friends and family. Oftentimes, we consider this because we want to be able to socialise with our partner in the future. There’ll be family dates and meetings/reunions; it’s difficult to fit in if you can’t socialise naturally.
