5 PLANE CRASH SURVIVAL TIPS YOU MAY FIND USEFUL SOMEDAY

No one really ever asks for tragedy, but it’s important to be prepared because like it or not, they’re very real. Plane crashes are one of the most fatal kinds you can think of, so it’s very important to be ready in case one ever finds themselves facing stuff like it.

Here are some precautionary measures we can take to keep ourselves safe in the event of one.

CONSIDER THE TYPE OF AIRCRAFT YOU’RE FLYING IN

There are different types of aircrafts out there. Even if you fly all the time, you are more than likely to fly on different types of airplanes and sit in different seats each time you take to the sky. This is the reason it’s necessary to take a minute or two to review the safety information card in the seatback pocket in front of your seat every time you get on an airplane, and by doing this, you become familiar with the evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.

LOCATE THE NEAREST EXIT

It’s important to look around the airplane, and try to locate the nearest exit once you are inside. Emergency exits are for quick evacuation in case of a problem, so you’ll do yourself a lot of good to locate one, and know how far away from one you are in case you have to run to it soon.

AVOID TAKING SLEEP INDUCERS AND THE LIKE BEFORE YOU FLY

The fear of flying can cause one to take drugs to make them relax and forget their surrounding for a few minutes, but then, this move can also be dangerous as it can make you unaware of impending danger. You should always be sober when you fly. Do not take any sleep inducing drugs, and if you have to drink, do it after landing.

DO NOT TAKE ANY LUGGAGE

Sometimes, people get trapped in air crashes because of too much delay, usually because they’re trying to get their luggage or some other important accessory. During a plane emergency, the only thing that matter is your life, every other thing is secondary, and can slow you down. The difference between life and death is how quickly you can get off the plane.

KEEP YOUR SHOES ON ALWAYS, ESPECIALLY DURING TAKE OFF AND LANDING

Take-off and landing are the most important phases of a flight. There is nothing wrong in removing your shoes during flight, but putting your shoes back on before landing will prevent you from having to escape barefooted.
