Some people are born with thin hair and others with thick hair and we must also not forget factors like aging can cause hair thinning.

You can make your hair appear fuller and below are tips you should know

1. OLIVE OIL

Use olive oil on your hair to soften and strengthen your tresses and make your hair appear fuller.

–          Heat up the olive oil and when it’s a bit warm, apply it on your hair and scalp. Leave it for about 30-45 minutes before rinsing it off. Wash your hair using a mild shampoo. Do this once or twice a week.

2. AVOID WASHING YOUR HAIR DAILY

Natural oils are produced by our scalp and when you wash your hair frequently, you wash off these oils that coat the hair and help protect it from outside damage.

3. COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil contains elements that help protect your hair against microbes (microbes are one of the causes of hair loss).

–          Heat 1-3 tablespoons of coconut oil depending on your hair length. Apply this warm coconut oil to your hair and scalp. Keep massaging it for about 15-20 minutes as this would lead to good blood circulation which is essential for a healthy hair. Dip a towel in warm water (not hot water) and squeeze out excess water from the towel. Place this towel on your massaged hair for 30 minutes and wash; ensure it covers all your hair.  If you are not comfortable using the warm water treatment, you can leave the coconut oil on your hair overnight and wash it off in the morning. Do this 2 or 3 times a week for a good result.

4. TREAT YOUR HAIR WITH CARE

Be gentle with your hair to avoid hair loss. When your hair is wet, try to be gentle with it. Don’t towel it dry roughly as this may cause some hair to break. Also avoid hairstyles that pull and stretch the strands of your hair as this causes breakage.

5. AVOCADO

Avocados can also help make our hair fuller. It contains vitamin E that contributes to the overall health of the hair.

–          Mash some avocados and banana; the quantity of avocado you mash depends on your hair size but 1 avocado fruit should do the job. Apply a tablespoon of olive oil to the mixture of mashed avocado and banana. Massage it on your scalp and leave for about 30 minutes so the scalp would absorb the nutrients. Rinse it off and shampoo your hair. Do this once a week preferably weekends.
