4 TIPS TO HELP YOU AVOID LOSING YOUR PHONE AT A PARTY

Gradually, gatherings like parties and weddings are becoming a breeding ground for thieves and petty criminals. It’s like every other day, there’s a story of someone losing their phone at a wedding or a small party. Lots of people have fallen victim to situations like that, but you do not have to. As much as things can easily go wrong, you can try your best to protect your property, even outside your house, especially at a party.

Here are some easy tips to help you protect your phone more at a party.

DON’T GIVE YOUR PHONE OUT

It’s normal for people to want to borrow your phone to take pictures at a public function like a wedding or some other party, but you have to be very careful to not cave in to such requests, especially when you don’t even know who the person is. The only people who can have your phone with them outside your house are family and very trusted friends. So it’s always best to keep your phone with you.

DO NOT LOSE YOUR PURSE

Because thieves know that most women keep their phones in their handbags and purses, they now target things like that. So while at a wedding, you cannot lose sight of your purse. Always have it around you. If you drop it, there’s a warped high chance you’ll leave it at least for a minute, and that’s a lot of time for robbery to happen.

DROP YOUR PHONE AND OTHER PROPERTY IN A CAR

If you drive to a party, it’s not wrong to avoid the temptation of taking your phone along with you. Please, drop it in a car, and make sure you lock it.

DON’T OVER-DRINK

Drunkenness is the quickest way to losing yourself. Once you’re drunk, you can misplace your phone yourself and lose other properties. There’s always that temptation to drink. Just keep it on a low.

KEEP A LOW PROFILE

It’s possible to be targeted at a party. Robbers and thieves always go for people they think have a lot of money. If you go to a party, avoid showing off, and that way, nobody has to even target your property.
