4 THINGS YOU MUST GET RIGHT ON YOUR CV IF YOU REALLY WANT A JOB

job interview 4

A CV is a short description and introduction of yourself; so there is no margin for error, as the slightest one could scupper your chances of getting a job. When a job recruiter looks at your CV, they expect to see a few important details, like…

1. YOUR EMAIL

Email is the commonest way job recruiters (employers) contact and reach out to their (prospective) employees. So as you put your CV together, make sure you add an email address to it, and that’s not all; if you’re going to add an email, make sure it sounds and looks professional. Avoid using email addresses like joshissexy@***.com or jane2fly@***.com, something like JaneAniston@***.com or JoshDamian@***.com would be more appropriate.

2. DO NOT ADD A PHOTO

Unless a recruiter specifically asks for it, do not attach a photo of yourself to your CV; it’s a CV, not a register, and all that detail is totally unnecessary.

3. FORMATTING

As you build that CV, be sure to keep it as clean and simple as possible because that is the only way it’ll be appealing and acceptable to recruiters. Avoid adding too many unnecessary details in a bid to make it look beautiful and attractive; remember, it’s not an artwork, only one requires that sort of beautification. Avoid using multiple fonts and writing styles (patterns) on your CV. keep it simple.

4. THE VOLUME

Recruiters want to see and know everything they want to know about you immediately they look at your CV. So be sure to keep your CV short and precise.

It’s difficult enough to get a job out there, do not limit your chances of landing that job by submitting a poorly constructed CV; get it right today.
