4 REASONS YOU NEED AN OFFICE BESTIE

A work place is a very serious place, with very ‘serious’ people from different backgrounds. The pressure can be enormous sometimes you almost get overwhelmed. That is the reason we all need someone we can be comfortable around. Someone who we can share a laugh with, and talk to about just anything. A work bestie isn’t someone you’re dating at your office, they’re just someone you’re really close to. Here are more reasons I think you need one.

TRUST

Like I have said before, work places are usually choking sometimes because you don’t really understand most of the people you work with. You’re all from different backgrounds and have different opinions about stuff, so you can’t quite trust anyone. Having a bestie at the office can help soften this problem. You have someone to talk to, and laugh with.

YOU NEED SOMEONE TO UNDERSTAND YOU

This is especially if you’re new at the organization. Nobody really understands you, people give you space, and some ignore you, but it’d be a lot easier if you had a close buddy at the office to share your thoughts with and be yourself around. When you’re angry at something, there’s no better place to vent it all than with a work bestie. They’ll listen, and calm you down.

YOU HAVE ONE LESS PERSON TO COMPETE WITH

The work place is all about competition. Person A out-doing person B- it’s all about getting promotion ahead of everybody else, and maybe a pay raise, but it’s not like that with your bestie. With them, you have a chance to do things differently and see things differently. You don’t feel like competing with them because you seem them beyond that.

ONE POSITIVE THING ABOUT MONDAYS

Mondays suck for everyone who works because you work more, and it marks the official end of the weekend holiday. However, if you had a work bestie with whom you’ve built a close knit friendship, you’ll be bothered less about resuming work because you’d be looking forward to getting together with that interesting person. So it’s not going to be as bad as it seems.

Remember, it’s always better to keep things simple at friendship. If you involve sex in your office relationship, you can suffer serious consequences for it.
