4 REASONS YOU MUST NOT DEPEND ON ONE SOURCE OF INCOME

Having a job is good, but not as good as having an extra one. With so many bills to be paid, it’s not in your best interest to depend on only one source of income knowing that things could change anytime, and you could lose that.

Having more than one source of income is more enriching than you understand, and if you didn’t know some of the benefits, you will by the time you’re done reading this post. Why should you have more than one job?

YOU’RE NOT AFRAID OF LOSING YOUR MAIN JOB

Having one job is a very dangerous thing to do, and I always try to discourage it. No one hopes to be fired, but sometimes, these things just happen. How do you cope when you are dropped from the one job you depend on to feed and clothe yourself? However, when you have two jobs or at least, a side hustle, there’s some level of peace you have because you know you always have something to fall back on in case of a tragedy in one job.

YOU BECOME YOUR OWN BOSS

No big business starts off immediately big; they all have to start somewhere. If you have ever nursed dreams of starting or owning your own business, you can achieve that by simply by learning to do more than a job at a time. You can work for somebody, and save money to invest in a business you’re passionate about and you know can yield fruits soon enough. And before you know it, you’re as big as one of those guys on Forbes list, and you can say you are your own man.

YOU MAKE EXTRA MONEY

Like I said, there are too many bills to be paid for one to depend on just one source of income. You can only meet up, and save something when you earn more, and that of course, only happens when you have a side hustle. Having a side hustle adds extra cash to your bank account apart from the one you’re paid by your main job.

YOU CAN’T GO BROKE

Unless you’re very careless at managing money, it’s difficult to run out of cash when you have an extra source of income, and the reason is because you have more money at your disposal. If you know how to use them, you can pay your bills comfortably, and still manage to save something for tomorrow.
