I still belong to that school of thought which believe that you shouldn’t just jump into a relationship. Many people who jump into relationships jump out of it as well and heap all the blames on everyone else but themselves.
Have you ever thought about you? Have you ever asked yourself if you are ready for a relationship? Relationships come with a lot of emotional and physical responsibilities and if you aren’t ready for them, you’ll fall by the way side.
These are four big signs that you are ready for a relationship:
1. YOU ACCEPT AND LOVE YOURSELF
Love and acceptance starts from within. For you to love and accept someone, you must first love and accept yourself. Also, you make it easy for someone else to love and accept you when you love and accept yourself.
Don’t enter a relationship because you want to be pitied, don’t enter a relationship with a low self-esteem; enter a relationship with the right mindset.
2. YOU CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY
It’s easy to be in a relationship with someone who has a happy heart than someone who finds it difficult to be happy. Don’t let situations steal your joy, choose to be happy no matter what. Be in control of your happiness and don’t let anyone steal that away from. You make it easy for someone to love you when you are a happy person.
3. YOU WORK ON YOUR FLAWS
Do you have flaws that make it difficult for people to live with you? It could be anger, it could be jealousy or even selfishness. Find out the flaws you have and work on them; work on those flaws till it reaches a minimal stage. Your inner beauty flourishes when your flaws are minimal.
4. YOU ENTER THE RELATIONSHIP FOR THE RIGHT REASON
After these three key signs, you then enter the relationship not because you are lonely or you have come of age or any other trivial reason, but you enter the relationship because you have found someone you can share your life with.
With these four reasons, you can confidently say that you are ready for a real and beautiful relationship.
